For Breck School
I was asked to create a new site design and interface to an
existing lotus notes / domino server backend. I created interface
elements using Adobe PhotoShop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and
Fireworks. JavaScript was used to provide animation to navigation
buttons and to generate random images from a user maintained
archive of current school photos. Many users from different
departments needed to be able to control content. A system
of templates and a lotus notes backend provided the functionality
for non-programmers to control web content. New site will
go live at the end of August.

Moccasin House
Created
shopping cart based e-com site for international retailer
Minnetonka Moccasin. Created site using MySQL, PHP, and Javascript.
Open Source software was chosen to provide a simple and cost
effective solution that wouldn't require expensive software
licensing fees. Used SSL to provide a secure shopping cart
and admin interface to site. On the business side orders are
queued to an admin screen with copies of the customer order
sent directly to the shipping department to expedited orders
quickly. Admin interface provides the client the abilities
to search past orders securely in an encrypted MySQL database.

For
Ajilon I developed a website to for the Minneapolis St. Paul
branch office. During the development I acquainted myself
with Microsoft IIs webserver and Active Server Pages. The
goal was to make a local site that would communicate a local

identity.

West
Group
Configuration Manager
(July
2000 - May 2001)
As a senior level programmer
placed by Ajilon into the West Group environment I was quickly
able to use my skills to enhance the existing configuration
management software (CMS) environment that existed in both
Microsoft Visual Source Safe (VSS) and UNIX Based Concurrent
Versioning System (CVS). A web front-end to CVS was created
to allow management to view and approve software releases.
I used my previous knowledge of configuration / change management
theories to improve process flow and overall efficiency.
I took it upon myself to assure that the permanent staff
received my support and training in this area so that these
efficiencies would remain past my tenure. Other duties that
I performed as regular required tasks included the management
of web server configuration for both iPlanet and Apache
software suites on multiple operating systems including
Solaris Windows NT, and Linux.
